Years of experience.
An artist with 17 years of experience and a vast repertoire to match, Kathleen Crabtree trained with George Taylor at the Eastman School of Music and Stanley Konopka at the Cleveland Institute of Music. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of North Texas with Dr. Susan Dubois. Versed in solo work, chamber music, and the orchestral setting, Kathleen is celebrated for her technical expertise.
She is better known, however, for her interpretation of the music - vibrancy blended with a unique sensitivity. These interpretive qualities stem from the joyous personality she brings to every piece of music she performs.
In addition to her expressive playing, Kathleen has a knack for communicating the complexities of musical thought through education. Utilizing metaphor and tailoring her teaching for different learning styles, Kathleen's talent for playing and caring for her students shines through in her musical instruction. She currently teaches both violin and viola at McKinney High School in McKinney, TX.
